Work permits we handle

  • Employer-specific work permits with LMIA
  • LMIA-exempt work permits โ€” Intra-Company Transfer, CUSMA / CETA / CPTPP professional, reciprocal employment
  • Global Skills Strategy โ€” 2-week processing for select TEER 0 and 1 roles
  • Open work permits โ€” for spouses of skilled workers and international students, PGWP, bridging open work permits
  • Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
  • Working Holiday & IEC

For employers

We support Canadian employers through the full LMIA cycle:

  1. NOC and wage assessment โ€” confirming TEER classification and prevailing wage from Job Bank
  2. Recruitment plan โ€” meeting the 4-week multi-channel advertising requirement
  3. LMIA application โ€” preparing the application under the right stream (High-Wage, Low-Wage, Global Talent, Agricultural)
  4. Compliance support โ€” preparing your business for potential ESDC inspections
  5. Foreign worker permit filing โ€” supporting your candidate's application once the LMIA is approved

For foreign workers

If you've already received a job offer, we help you:

  • Confirm whether the role needs an LMIA or qualifies for an exempt stream
  • Prepare and submit your work permit application
  • Coordinate with your employer's LMIA file (if applicable)
  • Plan your path from work permit to permanent residence

Common questions

How long does an LMIA take? Most LMIAs are processed in 30โ€“80 business days, depending on stream and region. Global Talent stream files are processed in about 10 business days.

Can I bring my family? Spouses of TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3 workers usually qualify for an open work permit. Dependent children may attend Canadian schools without a study permit.

Will a work permit lead to PR? Often yes โ€” most Canadian work experience qualifies you for the Canadian Experience Class under Express Entry, or for a Provincial Nominee Program.
