What is Express Entry?
Express Entry is Canada's flagship system for managing applications for permanent residence under three federal economic programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) — for skilled workers with foreign experience
- Canadian Experience Class (CEC) — for those with Canadian work experience
- Federal Skilled Trades (FST) — for tradespeople
Candidates create an Express Entry profile, receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, and IRCC issues invitations to apply (ITAs) in regular draws.
How we help
- Eligibility review — we assess which program (or PNP enhancement) is the best fit for your profile.
- Profile optimisation — language testing strategy, ECA selection, NOC code selection, and CRS-improvement planning.
- Profile submission — full Express Entry profile creation, document validation, and continuous updates.
- PNP coordination — if a Provincial Nomination is the right path, we file alongside your federal profile.
- PR application — once you receive an ITA, we prepare and submit the full e-APR with all supporting documents within IRCC's 60-day window.
- Post-ITA support — biometrics, medicals, police certificates, and landing logistics.
Typical timelines
- ITA to PR confirmation: 5–8 months in most cases under IRCC's service standards.
- Total path from profile creation to landing: 8–14 months for competitive profiles.
Who's eligible
Most successful Express Entry candidates have:
- One year of continuous, full-time skilled work experience (TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3)
- A high-school diploma or post-secondary credential with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA)
- Language test results (IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF/TCF) at CLB 7 or higher
- Proof of funds matching the IRCC settlement amount for their family size
A CRS score of around 470 has been competitive for general draws in recent rounds, though category-based draws have allowed lower scores for healthcare, STEM, trades, and French-speaking candidates.
